Cochrane SA hosts stand at SA Medical Research Council Health Awareness Walk

Team members from Cochrane South Africa (CSA), encapsulating the Cochrane Collaboration’s vision of “Trusted Evidence | Informed decisions | Better Health”, recently participated in the Health Awareness Walk hosted by the South African Medical Research Council on Saturday, 16 November 2024. This event, taking place in the beautiful surrounds of the Green Point beachfront, was dedicated to raising awareness about diabetes.  The CSA stand served as an informative hub, providing evidence-based resources on issues not only relating to diabetes, but also to other non-communicable diseases. Attendees engaged with interactive discussions, learning about healthy lifestyle choices and the importance of evidence-based research in informing decisions relating to health-care practices. The presence of Cochrane South Africa emphasized its commitment to providing practical tools for improving public health and drawing attention to the increasing need for evidence-based solutions to improve one’s health.
