Cochrane SA is offering bursaries to attend the Stellenbosch University Systematic review and meta-analysis course

Cochrane South Africa is offering five bursaries to attend the Stellenbosch University Systematic Review and meta-analysis course. The course takes place from July – November 2021.

The short course will be exclusively online (or hybrid approach depending on COVID restrictions), using a combination of live synchronous webinars and online recordings. All teaching and learning will be facilitated via SunOnline. Online content will be spread over a period of weeks, with students required to engage with content weekly, punctuated with online discussion and webinars. There will be no face-to-face contact sessions for the module.

The objective of the course is to train candidates to understand the methods and applications of conducting a systematic review to answer a clearly defined healthcare question.

To be eligible for this bursary applicants must:
- be based either at a South African historically disadvantaged institution or the South African Medical Research Council
- be accepted to attend the course. To apply for the course contact Anthea Henry at ahenry@sun.ac.za

It is expected that bursary recipients must provide a brief report after attending the course and be willing to be part of an author team conducting a systematic review.

If you wish to apply for a bursary, please complete the application form by 18 June 2021.
